SALES AUDIT ANALYST

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sales Audit Analyst utilized Aptos Sales Audit and Trintech ReconNet software to perform sales audit functions by reconciling cash and credit card receipts for all channels of the company business and supports the Accounting Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilize Aptos Sales Audit to post the sales audit journal entry
  • Review bank detail for charge backs, communicate with stores and follow up on resolution
  • Review daily cash and credit card activity and research any variances
  • Partner with stores, management, Aptos and banks to resolve open issues
  • Update Aptos POS information to determine over/short journal entry
  • Liaise between accountants to provide information needed to reconcile cash accounts
  • Assist accountants in monthly account reconciliations and close activities
  • Research and manage the correction of any discrepancies discovered in the auditing process
  • Demonstrates strong decision making, process improvement and escalation skills
  • Other duties as assigned by General Accounting Manager, Accountant or Controller

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:

EDUCATION:

  • BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting (preferred) or equivalent experience

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Must have intermediate to advance proficiency level on all Microsoft Office Suites
  • Experience with Aptos and Trintech ReconNet is a plus
  • Minimum of 2 years related sales audit or similar experience
  • Strong communications skills are required
  • Exceptional proficiency in computer applications: Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Possess critical problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to produce accurate high-quality work with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well both independently as well as within a team environment.
  • Work requires a solid knowledge of business and an excellent command of the English language to effectively communicate with management, associates and customers.
  • Must demonstrate an ability to think strategically, plan and organize effectively.
  • Must be able to maintain an exemplary degree of professionalism in all situations.
  • Requires a proficient analytical ability to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion, confidentiality, and independent judgment with the ability to use compassion and diplomacy.
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, multi-task, set priorities effectively and efficiently to proactively respond to changing demands, from multiple sources.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit.

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job may include close vision, distance vision and depth perception.
  • The incumbent must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
