The Fire Department, City of New York (FDNY), seeks a full-time Clerical Associate in the Bureau of Health Services within World Trade Center (WTC) Program. Reporting directly to the WTC Administrative Director the successful candidate will: Greet members arriving to the Bureau of Health Services. Answer the phone at a reception desk or in a specific department and transfer calls as needed. Schedule members for treatment appointments. Use department Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and WTC programs to process members. Organize office and medical documents, such as reports and confidential records, including encrypted documents and email correspondence. Operate office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, voice mail systems and personal computers. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qual Requirements Qualification Requirements
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.
Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute. Preferred Skills Excellent communication skills. Customer service experience a plus. Team mentality and willingness to assist in office management and organization procedures. Excellent computer skills for word processing and Excel.
